Abstract

The Area Progress Council was formed in 1961 with the common concern for the progress of the Miami Valley. The Council was instrumental in the establishment of Wright State University and its medical school. This collection contains administrative materials, primarily meeting minutes, presentations, reports, and correspondence; and financial records, including budgets and annual financial summaries.

Community Research, Inc. was a privately funded think tank formed in 1957 to study and recommend solutions to problems facing metropolitan Dayton.
